Kathleen and I have been traveling from Panama City out to Los Islotes once or twice a month, as our schedules allow. We’d be out there much more often than that if we could. Things on site are starting to get exciting.
Specifically, the Founder’s Lodge we’ve conceived is taking shape. Progress is ahead of schedule and pushing forward at a great rate despite the season. Usually at this time of year, the rains would be limiting the amount of work that could be accomplished. Fortunately, so far this season, the rains have not been nearly as restrictive as they can be. Our crews have not missed a day of work yet.
Now that the Founder´s Lodge construction is officially under way, we are focusing our attention on the construction of five spec homes in Mango Village. We have a builder in place and architectural plans in the works and expect to break ground on these houses by the end of the year. These will be turn-key opportunities for anyone interested in becoming part of the Los Islotes community but not up for the challenges of building their own home. They’ll be affordable, too, with prices starting at less than US$200,000.
Contributing to the momentum we’re enjoying right now is the start of construction by private homeowners.
With several houses almost or already under construction, as I said, things on site are getting exciting.
Kathleen and I would like to invite you to come see for yourself. We’ve organized a Los Islotes site visit for Friday Nov. 14 through Sunday Nov. 16. This is your last chance to learn more about the region surrounding Los Islotes and to experience the pleasures of this extraordinary property firsthand. This is the final group visit we’ll be scheduling this year, meaning it will be the final group visit before price increases planned for the first of the New Year.
Tour participants will stay overnight Friday at Panama City’s Hilton Garden Inn. Saturday around noon, everyone will meet in the lobby of the hotel to depart for Santiago, Panama. In Santiago we will check in to the comfortable Mykonos Hotel, have dinner, and relax.
Sunday morning, we will have breakfast together at the Mykonos, then head for Los Islotes to tour the property. Around noon, after visiting both beaches and individual lots in key spots across the property, we will have lunch at the Los Islotes Rancho. After our full day on site, we will return to Mykonos in time for dinner. Monday morning, we’ll meet in the lobby of the Mykonos for the return to Panama City.
The cost of the tour is US$350 per person, US$475 per couple. This includes transportation, accommodation for three nights, all meals, activities, and taxes. Note that, should you choose to invest in Los Islotes, the cost of the tour will be deducted from your purchase price.
As you know, I’m sure, I always recommend getting out there on the ground to see what you are buying firsthand before making any overseas property purchase. Los Islotes is my project, but it is no different.
If you are truly interested in purchasing a lot in Los Islotes, then this is a perfect opportunity to see the property in person so that you can gather some intel and make an informed decision.
If you are interested in participating in the upcoming program, our final group site visit for 2014, I encourage you to reserve your spot today. We will keep this a very small group.
